This is a long video but I wanted to present most of the runbys I shot. From July 19th to the 21st, 2021. My life long friend Walter and me decided to visit the DELMARVA Peninsula to watch the DCR and MDDE perform their magic. We went to Massey, MD first to see if the MDDE were operating that line. We only saw RS3M #1202 sitting idle so we proceeded to catch the interchange between the DCR and NS just north on Clayton DE. We lost the DCR train going south. We discovered the next day that we were probably way ahead of the train and were not patient enough to wait to see if the train was coming. On the 20th after staying overnight in Seaford DE we tried to find a train to chase. We went to Federalsburg MD to the MDDE office only to discover the train was in Seaford at about that time so off to Seaford! We caught the train leaving Seaford and proceeded to chase it to Hurlock, MD and back. The crew informed us that when they finished switching TriGas at Williamsburg MD they were done for the day so off to Clayton again! On the 21st I stopped by the DCR office in Harrington and had the pleasure of talking the the engineer for HA1. He told me that HA1 was called for at 10:00 AM, I also discovered that there is a train called at 6:00 PM out of Harrington that takes cars to Seaford and returns serving the industries along that portion of the railroad. Train HA3's crew is called for 8:30 PM. In Seaford there are two crews scheduled one at 10:00 PM which switches the industries south of Seaford and a relief crew is called at 5:00 AM which meets them somewhere along the line and returns to Seaford. We then proceeded to chase DCR train HA1 to Clayton. We left for home after the interchange between the DCR and NS was completed. Thanks to the DCR and MDDE crews for their tolerance of us railfans and for the information they provided. You guys are the best!!
