As a psychiatrist working in Harley Street everyday I see a lot of human unhappiness and frustration and one common theme is upset that life has not delivered what we wanted or hoped for. There is a key secret I have learned that underlies this deep human predicament. In order to get what we want from the world, whether its a date with Brad Pitt or a pay rise or more popularity etc etc we need to give something to the world, only we need to give it first and if we have delivered the right thing then the world will give us back what we want.
