At the time this video was shot in Feb 2023, CYDI was the only operator of ALCO RS1's in regular revenue freight service in the US! CYDI knows the historical importance of these units, and finds them to be generally maintenance free, however, they do have a stash of ALCO 539 and other parts to keep these units running for years to come.
