A new rare Daron Realtoy model for my collection, the FedEx A380 Transportation Fleet Set (large airport playset)!

The day this video was posted marks 3 years since I first started my YouTube channel! Im so thankful for everyone who has really helped my channel grow and have given so much support over the years, thank you !

I recently got this model off of eBay for around $80 and even though it may seem like a fake or fictional model, it actually was a real model Realtoy and Daron introduced and was intended to be a real aircraft!

FedEx ordered between 610 Airbus A380 aircraft that were set be be converted to freighters and were planned to commence flights in 20082009 but was later cancelled after just 1 year of placing the order. In 2006 FedEx cancelled the A380 order due to delays in production of the aircraft. Ultimately, the A380 would have to undergo many modifications to make it suitable to be a freighter aircraft, which is very costly. In the end, the overall benefit would be less than the costs and effort to build the aircraft.

The model I have featured in this video is the original FedEx A380 Realtoy produced and was actually one of the first A380 models Realtoy ever made! This model was released in 2005 only as a large airport playset and is 1 of 2 different FedEx A380 models!

Even though the model has several features that make it much different and unrealistic compared to other A380 models, it’s definitely one of my favorites and I’m so glad to finally have it in my collection .
