On a remote Island along the Aleutian chain sits the lone crash site of a WWII era (1940s) P61 Northrop P61 Black Widow. It has been there for 78 years and we stumbled across it on our 2016 Aleutian Island WWII History Expedition.
Since then, I have visited the wreck site three times. I finally decided to tell its story and the stories of the airmen from the 449th Fighter Interceptor Squadron who were flying it.

Umnak Island is my favorite of the Aleutian Islands and I am happy to be sharing a small part of it with you in this video.
