Weird Place For A Railroad Diamond! 2 CSX Lines Cross Right In The Middle Of A Busy Highway! Phosphate Trains In Mulberry, Florida, Train With DPU In Dade City & Amtrak In Plant City, Florida. The big train with the DPU and the Amtrak train are more videos never posted by Mrs Tooth. I filmed the train in Dade City also but at a different spot.
This is more of our visit to Florida from February. We stayed in Mulberry, Florida so that I could get some phosphate trains and also be able to see the railroad from the motel. We were there for a week and I had a difficult time getting trains in daylight in Mulberry. Both of these CSX trains were filmed at night. I heard them on my scanner approaching Mulberry just after 2am so I went to the railroad diamond and got them while I could. I only saw a couple of other trains in the daylight on the tracks in front of the motel. The line is a branch line that ends at the Mosaic Phosphate line near Bowling Green. It doesn't get much action since there are only a few customers on the line. Right after I filmed the first train I noticed that the signal went to green. Shortly after that the second train came. I filmed it and then chased it and filmed it again.
The rest of the trains and the wildlife in this video were filmed by Mrs Tooth. She got the Dade City train running south just past the train depot on its way to Tampa. I filmed this same train from the station platform and I have posted that video already. That was a huge train with a mid train DPU.
The Amtrak train is in Plant City and has one of the new Charger locomotives leading it. Mrs Tooth also filmed the wildlife in this video. I still have more of her video to post and a few more trains that I filmed. I filmed a few trains from our motel room but they were filmed at night and a difficult to see except for one that I filmed in the early morning.
