On June 18, 2020, the spotters at Vancouver International Airport were treated to a rare and welcomed sight of an Air India Boeing 777300ER.
The aircraft, registered VTALR, touched down on runway 26R in spectacular morning sun after an impressive 15 hour flight direct from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, India.
Air India performed this special flight repatriation flight for Canadians stranded in India during the coronavirus/covid19 pandemic.
Thanks to Air India for sending this big bird and for bringing Canadians home.
