This 747 carrying some very controversial equipment back to Europe.

Challenge Airlines BE is a cargo carrier based in Liege, Belgium, they operate a fleet of 2 Boeing 747400F's (OOACE and OOACF).

This is a very rare visit, operating a special charter flight on behalf of "Rhenus Project Logistics AG". The aircraft came in ferry from New York (JFK), and was loaded for its flight to Germany.

According to multiple news agencies, the aircraft was carrying a turbine for the NordStream 1 pipeline. This pipeline moves natural gas from Russia to the western Europe, specifically into Germany.
However it was being repaired in Montreal. The turbine has been in Montreal well before the Ukrainian invasion, and the return has sparked outrage.

The Canadian government placed sanctions against Russia, and many claim that the return of the turbine goes against their sanctions; furthermore it will aids the Russian economy; which will help fuel the war. There has been many protests against the turbine's return.
