This is a raw and uncut video summarizing how I paint my 3D flags.

Below are the steps I take.

Step 1: Cut the waves on my CNC
Step 2: Cut a Union Profile at .06”
Step 3: Paint the union blue and the field red.
Step 4: Cut Stars and Stripes (design if added)
Step 5: Wire brush the carve to remove any dust or wood fibers
Step 6: Depending on intended finish, sand the painted areas until satisfied with finish
Step 7 (optional): Rub Antique wax or wood aging agent to the whole flag
Step 8: Finish with satin polycrylic.
