Indeterminate analysis of a beam to find reactions using the force method of analysis as presented in the FE Reference handbook. To solve, do the following:

1. find the deflection at point B due to the uniform load only without a reaction at B

2. equate the deflection from 1. to the deflection for a point load on a simply supported beam to solve for the reaction at B (i.e., the point load)
3. using the reaction at B, solve for the vertical reaction at A.
