The Reading & Northern puts on one of the best shows in steam railroading today. Watch as the #425 leads its train through the beautiful Lehigh River Gorge navigating the rugged terrain by twist and turn, over bridges and through rock cuts, all while climbing steadily uphill. The locomotive is a feast for the senses, in a distinct blue livery with silver trim along with its signature eardrumsplitting exhaust, it is hard not to notice when 425 passes you by.

Reading and Northern 425 is used on special occasions for various excursions on the R&N's vast 300mile system, and on select dates it can be found powering the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway's regular trains based out of Jim Thorpe, PA.
