Session 14 Word Detectives Don't Let Vowels Trip Them Up

In this lesson, we are highlighting the transfer of phonics skill and word wall spelling patterns to their reading and writing!

We have to remember, it's all about students' transferring what they're learning in phonics to their reading and writing so we have to make that connection explicit for them. It's great that the word wall was easily accessible for the teacher and students because the more we reference the word wall the more the students will refer to it as well! And... that's the whole point of having one in your classroom! Transfer, transfer, transfer!
