When snow melts off of one home's roof faster than other houses, and all other things are equal, that likely means that the home's attic isn't very well insulated. By all other things being equal I mean that the houses face the same direction and they have the heat on (at somewhat of a similar temperature). Vaulted or cathedral ceilings can also make a difference.
