Hello!
I have tried a few techniques to produce a realistic peony using coffee filters. I even tried using silk and the same patterns I think I'll have another go at this.
The best outcome, was using coffee filters dyed with icing gel colour, dipped in the same coloured gel, dried and then the petals cut out. It was easy to produce the petals this way and it produced the most realistic peonies.
I made peony buds too as these help to make a lovely arrangement and the sepals and leaves to go with both the buds and full flowers.
As usual I add layers of detail to add to the realism of the flowers its of course up to you what techniques you use. I hope you take the techniques in this video and build on them to produce something even better yourself!
