A realistic (but snowy) week in my life as a Research Assistant in Cambridge ‍❄

Happy 2023 everyone!!! I hope your 2023 is off to a great start and that you had a restful holiday This vlog is a little late, but it's okay because I was spending the winter break resting, recharging and planning content on my newly launched Instagram account (you can follow me on @biomedwithvy for more short form content!)

It hasn't snowed this heavily in the UK since, I want to say, 2018? ❄☃ So I was very excited for a white Christmas (it didn't snow on Christmas day but this week of snow definitely made up for it!).

This week in the lab wasn't too busy, but it was productive in the sense that I was restocking on different reagents and consumables, trying to trouble shoot an issue with one of our large construct extractions (so trying out a new kit), wrapping things up in tissue culture and being a little social with our lab Christmas dinner

I hope you enjoy this little vlog, I am so so thankful to all of you for giving meaning to what I do, here's to 2023 being our year! ❤
