The ability to draw and shade lightly is an essential skill that we use throughout the entire drawing process. It can also be one of the more challenging skills to develop! In this video I suggest three tips for drawing and shading light values, and for developing lighthandedness.
While you may see improvement right away upon trying these tips, remember that all drawing skills take practice to acquire and use most effectively. Tips 1 and 2 will likely take some practice, but Tip 3 you can implement right away with no practice!
