Rebel Moon is Director Zack Snyder's attempt to create his own Space Opera, the film is clearly inspired by Star Wars and Akira Kurosawa but also draws from other scifi and fantasy universes as well, like Warhammer 40k. Overall the movie was quite enjoyable, but its reception amongst fans and critics gives us a bit more insight on the challenges that the Star Wars franchise faces going forward.
