turned the aviary pond into a pondless waterfall a few years ago because i had some birds drown. It held up fine and fairly easy to take care of but since i had a leak in liner, i decided to rebuild the base with cement pavers and morter and move waterfall away from edge of aviary so i can get behind it in case there are any holes or edges on aviary that need securing. The waterfall feeds into a 40 gallon molded base with hardware cloth over, a liner in the middle and pebbles and the pump inside.
