For this job we were initially contracted to replace the steps that we're falling apart from the back, however we agreed to raise the porch roof, which had fallen 3 inches lower, by replacing the inadequate 4x4s with 6x6s, we installed precast piers under the frost line to limit any heave to the structure, and installed railings to aid in bringing this porch closer to code.
