Shek Mun, roughly translated as Red Stone Gate, is a remote and unspoiled place situated in the northeast of New Territories. The reddish coastline, predominated by sedimentary rocks, was resulted from the oxidation of iron in the sediments.

Hung Shek Mun also known as the 'Red Rocky Shore', Hung Shek Mun acquired its name because of the striking red tone of its shoreline which is composed of rocks of various forms and gradations of red colour. Located at the southern entrance to Double Haven, this is a real unique area in Hong Kong.

How to get there:
Take off Taipo Market mtr station, exit A
Take the bus no. 275R
Take off to the last station Wu Kau Tang
Follow the signs, pretty walk for less than 3hours
