It's got a transparent back, a headphone jack, a builtin fan, no punch hole or notch, and no camera bump! Yep, it's the Redmagic 9 Pro, a valuepacked gaming phone. This is my indepth 2024 review a few months after it launched.

Far from perfect, it only promises "more than two years" of security updates, the interface has some questionable translations and the cameras aren't classleading – especially that underdisplay selfie camera. But would I still recommend this slick gaming phone over key competition like the cheaper Poco X6 Pro and the pricier Asus ROG Phone 8? Absolutely.
