In this video I explain how I use Home Assistant to turn off our heating system when nobody is present in our home. This smart heating solution will hopefully reduce our heating energy costs by 20%. But only time will tell and I will make an update in a couple of months.

The presence detection will look for connected devices(phone, laptop, sonos) on the local network to determine when somebody is home or not. An automation on HASS will automatically turn off the gas boiler when nobody is present in our home.
