This tutorial demonstrates one method for doing a regression test / statistical modeling in Microsoft Excel using data on childhood fitness levels and a measure of access to various food landscapes (fast food, supermarkets, etc.) in Los Angeles County.

I discuss how linear regression works, explain how to read the diagnostics output (adjusted R squared, significant, tstats, pvalues, etc.)...along with some of the pitfalls, like multicollinearity or variance inflation.

This video is not intended to be the last video you watch about regression, but rather an introduction to statistical modeling with a widely available software package, so that you might learn the basics and why this type of analysis is valuable.
