Being a lawyer has ruined watching TV for me...

Real world reality inevitably seeps in.

I was watching Billions last night, all I could think about were red flags for every HR violation, EEOC issue, etc. etc.

Along these lines, I get asked alot about whether I can help get someone's job back after termination.

Here I explain why a forced reinstatement never works out in real life.

Because if you think about it, though there may be a path legally to get you reinstated into the position you had at your old job there are a number of real world considerations which shouldn't be ignored.

For example, it's very likely if we use the law to force reinstatement, that you won't be very long until your employer finds a legal way to get rid of you.

You can expect the scrutiny to be high, your every move put under a magnifying class, and let's face it sooner or later you will likely make a mistake providing them the opportunity they need to fire you once again.

This time however, they will be more careful to stay within the guidelines of the law since you already took action.

The point is, what's best for you and your future should be taken into consideration.
