Hello Friends! In this video, I review how to release the temporalis muscle. This is a BIG player in clenching and/or bruxing (grinding) activity. The temporalis ESPECIALLY the anterior fibers can easily be OVERused with chronic clenching and grinding activity. When the temporalis is overused and when it becomes dysfunctional, it can lead to jaw pain and headaches all types of headaches, but especially tension headaches!
If you can release the temporalis muscle successfully, you can help to release tension and fibrotic areas that have built up within this muscle which will, in turn, help to relieve symptoms of jaw pain and/or (tension) headaches.
