Regardless of your building a project or your just a "scrapper" the rigid foam that is around the hot water tank can be a absolute pain in the ass.
I looked around the Internet for a good idea to do this job faster... I found nothing. The suggestions ranged from a putty knife and hammer to using a machete.
As most of us A.D.D. having creative brains do, they fly off into another land when trying to solve a problem. Mine normally comes back with something awesome. This is one of those times.
I was using my cordless drill and a 3/16 drill bit for the video and was going to switch to my corded drill to finish off the tank. However, this is going so much faster then i anticipated. I am pretty sure i can finish this tank off before my battery dies.
I am building a waste oil heater with this tank and had to remove all the foam or it would catch fire guaranteed.... I know this because i cut the outer metal wrap top to bottom with my plasma cutter..... whoa... let me tell you what.... THAT made a foam fed flame thrower. Haha.
