Repair and explanation of the internals of a 12v motor (red type 1, 40 0). It had a stripped axle but other than that was functionally solid, so I replaced the axle. I explain how to open the motor, how I cleaned all the parts, the function of each internal component, troubleshooting and testing, and finally reassembly, lubrication, and gluing. After all was said and done, this rare red motor is functioning nicely!
