POPPING KNEES? PAIN?

If you’ve ever trained anytime in your life, you’ve probably had some form of knee pain. A knee issue is rarely coming from the knee, it’s either a hip or an ankle issue. The problem is that the main horsepower transfer joint between those two areas IS THE KNEE. So it takes more abuse than sitting front row at an Andrew Dice Clay show.

Pontificate on these:
✅ Do your knees pop and snap more than a kid with bubble pack?
✅ Does the thought of ‘squats’ make you run for an Advil and an ace bandage?

The tibia and femur are designed to form a stable line between the hip and the foot/ground. When that line is either loaded lateral/medial or rotated, the patella tracks about as straight as Lindsey Lohan and a sobriety test at 2 am.

The tibia rotates relative to the femur only in one condition, terminal knee extension. What happens is that you lose terminal knee extension and the hamstring becomes chronically engaged. The ankle loses dorsiflexion forcing the longitudinal arch of the foot to collapse and the knee caves into valgus.

Up on the top, the primary culprit is the gluteus medius, which is weak about 99 percent of the time. Now the femur loads transverse versus axial and the knee gets hammered with translational shear. And sounds like an AR15 on full auto with every squat.
REPAIRWOD:
1⃣ Banded Knee Extension Recovery.
2⃣ Banded Lateral Hip Push
3⃣ Banded Ankle Dorsiflexion Recovery
4⃣ Wall Hip Lateral
BOOM! Go and do! Smash you later!
