Board sports like skateboarding, snowboarding and surfing in Afghanistan are not just practiced for fun – they are acts of defiance. The Taliban harshly repress these activities, especially when they are carried out in mixedgender groups. Tracks met with Afghan athletes who continue to resist all while inspiring their compatriots and showcasing a different imagine of their home country.
