Ronald A. Shaffer, 58, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2022.

He was born in Newport, Rhode Island on October 31, 1963 to James and Janice Shaffer.

Ron grew up in Rhode Island with his parents and two siblings. From a young age he leaned into sports as a way to connect with people and have fun. From baseball, to football, to soccer, Ron enjoyed being part of a team. He played on the Mens USA Soccer Team. He shared his passion for soccer with his daughter. Ron spent many years coaching her, from the bench and from the sidelines, he never missed a game. Ron’s favorite team was the New England Patriots, and he wore his Tom Brady jersey with pride. His family thoroughly enjoyed their Sunday’s watching football, playing cards, or grilling out. Ron had a huge heart. He loved his stepchildren as his own and adored all of his grandchildren. Ron, his wife, stepchildren, and grandkids took vacations to the beach together every year and spent almost every weekend together. Ron, his wife, and kids played fantasy football together every season. He worked at Parks Chevrolet in Kernersville, where he excelled at Sales. He was always laughing and goofing around. Ron was extremely loved, and everyone who had the privilege to know him will miss him very much.
