Hi! Today, the restoration of the popular knife of the USSR. This knife was of great interest to anglers, hunters and hikers. Initially, the knife was chromeplated, but after the first sharpening, the coating was lost and the blade began to rust, this copy is rusty, but the handle is factory in good condition. I'm starting to recover.

First, I disassembled the handle, the blade with iron parts, placing a rust remover. The handle was intact, but dirty. I cleaned it with detergents and detergent. I cleaned the handle in warm water with a toothbrush.

A few hours later, I put the blade in water with soda to neutralize the acid and dried it. Sanded with sandpaper and then with an iron brush.

The blade is made of carbon steel and rusts quickly, so I applied iron oxide and graphite grease to protect against rust.

To carry the blade, I just made a case, it's not a scabbard, etc. Just a piece of leather for carrying a knife.
