In this video Al and I rebuild a water wheel from scratch to generate hydroelectric power!

We replace his old wood wheel with a new plastic spool, and generate 12 volts of electricity using an old Chevy alternator. This will help supplement Al's solar power whenever there's enough water in his creek/pond (mostly during the winter/spring months). He can now use solar AND water to charge his bank of batteries, which supply him with completely offthegrid electricity.
