Today I’m sharing my new LEGO MOC project, to celebrate spring festival, which it’s on next Tuesday. This one called “Reunion Dinner”, also known for Chinese New Year's Eve dinner, yes, you can find this theme in the very first LEGO Chinese New Year set 80101. It’s a tradition that all family members gather together, reunion and having dinner at the night before New Year’s Day. And of course, the members in this scene are from the Monkie Kid!

In this one, you can find the Monkie Kid gang are having hot pot at a patio surrounding some traditional Chinese buildings, I also added some modern graphic elements from The City of Lanterns (BTW it’s an amazing set) and other lunar new year’s sets. I wanted to create a sunset vibe that you may find warmth and peace in it.

I’m using train tracks as roofs for part of background buildings, again these tracks are very versatile lol. For the patio flooring, I added an extra layer under the tiles to create bigger grout lines, adding more textures and variations. And also, I used the Ikea box again to support my main structure, which really saved me lots of bricks!
