Paul was born with Spina Bifida in 1972 and as a part of that condition, he had several major
operations to improve his legs.
In 1986, Paul had one particular operation that required a muscle relaxant which was
administered before the anaesthetic, that started a reaction that stopped his heart and
started his neardeath experience.
