REVIEW - Ender 5 Plus (Creality) - Large Format FDM Printing on a Budget

Follow
Callum Coles

In this video, I discuss the pros and cons of the Ender 5 Plus, a large format 3D Printer from Creality.

If you've seen one of my reviews before, you can expect the same honest evaluation of the printer and its performance. I explain what has stood out to me the pros and cons over the past 2 months of use.

Do you have this machine, has your experience been different to mine? If you don't have this machine are you tempted to buy it? I'm interested to hear people's views, so do let me know in the comments down below.

Please note I purchased this printer at full price, £480 via Amazon UK. I am aware you can get it cheaper from sites such as GearBest, but personally, I prefer the extra warranty assurances.

Here's a list of the pros and cons. The video tells a fuller picture than the list does...

Pros:
Vertically Moving Bed (Reduced artefacts vs i3 style)
Large Build Volume
Price (particularly in view of the above two points)
Fine Z Adjustments, levelling feature

Cons:
CABLE MANAGEMENT or rather lack of! (In caps because I forgot to mention in the video)
Unit Size: 632 x 666 x 619mm
Awkward Access, use is not convenient unless on an open table
Restricted Small Spool Holder
Part Wear
Extruder Drive Gear (must replace)
Dodgy Endstops & BLTouch
XAxis off 16mm
