I am an Architecture student and currently here in my hometown, Zambales. Since the renovation of the Manila Bay is a hot issue nowadays, I have to express my sight and idea towards the topic.

In architecture, a building should be beautiful but if being beautiful is setting aside the true purpose of why it exists, you should think again.

Mangroves help reduce the damage from storm surges and heavy waves, it protects wildlife, it can be home for many aquatic species.
