Flame TAKT is an 8 track rhythm and drum sequencer with amazing handson features for live playing. It uses a looper to record triggers and modulation and can play them back over MIDI or CV/gate. It takes some time to get used to this if you’re coming from a classic stepsequencer, but once you do it’s an incredible way to quickly build drum sequences.

There’s so much packed into TAKT that this turned into a long video, but don’t worry I broke it down into chapters so you can dip into what you need to know, and then come back for more later.

In this video I explain how TAKT works, take you through the basics of recording and looping, and then branch into advanced topics like LFOs, modulation and sidechain tricks.
