Rice Pappad recipe in traditional style | ಹಳೇ ತಂತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಅಕ್ಕಿ ಹಪ್ಪಳ | Perfect rice Pappad recipe

Usually we press papads with a thick dough. But here we follow a different method to prepare rice papads. We grind the batter just like a dosa batter and spread them over some banana leaves, steam cook with a special method shown in the video and finally sundry them. The steam cook method shown here is, a steamer is prepared with an earthen pot with some water in it and a cloth tied over it as shown in the video. This is a must step in this method of papad making. If this step is skipped, papads may broken after sundried. We can add jeera seeds or chillies for spiciness to enhance it's taste. If chillies are skipped, these act as a tea time snack, but with a spiciness, these served with the meal.

Ingredients raw rice/dosa rice 3 cups, urad days 5 tsp., banana leaves to spread the batter, jeera/ cumin. Chillies (optional), oil for frying.
