Largescale endive cultivation, also known as chicory. Ridging of chicory beds using three John Deere 6R of which two are equipped with GML nose wheel and selfbuild 6row rotary hillers. We also see the sowing using three combinations on this 26 hectare field.
Compared to a standard twotracked tractor, a trike setup can distribute the weight of the tractor more evenly across a wider area. This can help to reduce soil compaction, especially on softer soils. That results in an even growth of the plants.
