Solo winter Grand Canyon Rim to Rim to Rim backpacking trip.

This was my first trip down into the canyon and my longest backpacking trip so far. It was a fantastic adventure, with epic scenery (especially the North Kaibab Trail), challenging weather conditions, and good beer!

12,530 feet elevation gain (and loss!).

Day 1: South Kaibab trailhead to Cottonwood campground.
Day 2: Cottonwood campground to North Kaibab trailhead to Cottonwood campground.
Day 3: Cottonwood campground to Phantom Ranch (Sidetrails to Ribbon Falls and Phantom Overlook).
Day 4: Phantom Ranch to Bright Angel trailhead.
