Hello everyone and welcome back to the channel.

Today we are flying with Alberto Porto and his Risen Superveloce powered by a Rotax 916 with which together with Andrea Venturini he will attempt a new undertaking, that is, starting from Voghera to arrive in the United States in Oshkosh, Wisconsin covering 7200 km in 20 hours of flight with your only stages,

The original idea was only TWO phases, yes you read that right TWO stops, one in Ireland, then directly to Goose Bay in Canada and then finishing the trip in the States

It's just yesterday's news that while I'm publishing the video Alberto and Andrea are flying but for weather and bureaucratic reasons they will fly the northern route with a stop in Greenland.

In short, we are flying with the best performing light aircraft on the market today, a direct evolution of the speed recordholding Risen, a true hymn to aerodynamics. Alberto is not new to these undertakings.

we directly followed the first world speed record with a Rotax 912 ULS engine with absolutely standard carburettors set in Ozzano with 323 km/h
the crossing of the South Atlantic 2650 km on the sea, actually a stop on a ferry flight Italy Uruguay!
finish with the records set with the 914 engine, culminating in breaking the 400 km/h barrier

Alberto is building n°47 on the production line and now there are several
the Risen in circulation, whose owners calmly fly for a few thousand km with an efficiency unknown even to the most famous general aviation aircraft.

What changes compared to the Risen

the wingspan is noticeably smaller, and from the original 9 meters it drops to 8.20. This leads to a decrease of 1.2 square meters of wing surface, which goes from 9.70 to 8.50 square metres. The wing profile does not change, and the fuselage does not change, but the two "V" tail planes are shorter. The wing fuel tanks are the two central 60 liters plus two external 55 liters, for a total of 220 litres;

I don't expect big differences compared to the performance of the 915 also because on this example the propeller is optimized for speed and flight.

But Alberto told me that with the right propeller this will have incredible performance, I suppose certainly during takeoff and ascension. We'll see and see if we can try it.

Let's close the huge electrically operated canopy and let's go!
