If you are an international nurse currently licensed in good standing in the Philippines, India, Nigeria, USA, UK, Australia or New Zealand who demonstrates good character, you will be eligible for registration and licensure in Nova Scotia immediately with no additional requirements other than passing the entrance exam.

Applications are submitted though NSCN’s Applicant Portal.
1. Log in to your profile on our portal and select the application called: RN Applicants (Expedited Countries).
2. Submit two pieces of identification. Notarization of these documents is not required. For a full list of identification options visit here.
3. Arrange for Verification of Registration from your current regulatory body to be submitted directly to NSCN.
4. Submit a Criminal Record Check (CRC).
5. Pay the application fee. You must pay the fee in order for NSCN to make a licensing decision.
