Williamson Medical Center has been performing robotic surgery for over 15 years and just recently invested in a new robotic surgical system, the da Vinci Xi, to enhance its capabilities in the operating room. The latest version of this robot allows surgeons to perform minimallyinvasive surgeries for the most complex conditions. Surgeons Timothy Johnson, M.D., M.S., and Jacqueline Stafford, M.D., explain the advantages this technology provides them while performing surgery and the benefits to the patient such as quicker recovery and less pain.
