The 4,500ton Cheonjabong can transport more troops and hardware further away at a faster speed than the existing Gobongjunclass (LSTI) ship. It can travel at a maximum speed of 23 knots per hour with a total of 130 crew members, according to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration.
