In 2002, Rosalind Wiseman wrote "Queen Bees and Wannabes" and established a new way to understand girls’ social dynamics; "Mean Girls," the movie based upon "Queen Bees," was a massive hit, and now Wiseman has done the same for boys. Wiseman’s new book, "Masterminds and Wingmen: Helping Our Boys Cope with Schoolyard Power, LockerRoom Tests, Girlfriends, and the New Rules of Boy World," shows what’s really happening in boys’ lives. It creates a new language and analytical framework to understand the power of boys’ social hierarchies and how these influence their decisionmaking and emotional well being. Wiseman’s hardhitting challenge to parents and educators establishes a road map to reach boys and help them to grow into the best brothers, friends, students, athletes, boyfriends, and sons they can be.

Rosalind Wiseman is an internationally recognized expert on children, teens, parenting, bullying, social justice, and ethical leadership. She is the author of "Queen Bee Moms and Kingpin Dads," a book that addresses the social hierarchies and conflicts among parents. She is the author of "The Owning Up Curriculum," a comprehensive social justice program for grades 612 which is in widespread use across the country. She is a frequent guest on The Today Show and Anderson Cooper 360, and has been profiled in The New York Times, People, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune,, The Washington Post, USA Today, CNN, Good Morning America, and NPR affiliates throughout the country.
