The webinar will present new methods for efficient computation of the Kirchhoff integral that is a key requirement for studies of rough surface scattering. Particular emphasis will be provided on oceanlike surfaces and the relationship between the Kirchhoff integral and the geometrical optics, twoscale, and “stable PDF” limits of rough surface scattering theory. The seminar will also serve as an introduction to the theory of rough surface scattering.
