This aircraft first flew on December 17, 2007 as an Airbus A330203 and was delivered to Qantas Airways (VHEBH) [Hunter Valley] on January 22, 2008.
On May 12, 2015 it was withdrawn from use and stored at Getafe Air Base Airport (LEGT) in Spain on July 23, 2015.
On August 28, 2015 it began conversion to a MultiRole Tanker Transport, A330203MRTT by Airbus Military SL.
On September 1, 2017 it was delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force.
