December 2016 Ever thought of using a Ruger 10/22 as a man stopper, if not maybe it's time to consider this widely popular rifle as a defensive weapon in your home. Seems like 1,000 grains of lead in less than five seconds has to do more than just sting. Note This video was spur of the moment and I was using was bulk ammo (specifically the Federal AutoMatch) and did encounter one jam. If I were going to load up for possible selfdefense use with a .22LR then I would go with CCI Velocitor’s, CCI Mini Mag‘s or CCI Stinger’s for which I have never had a FTF or FTE. I would not count on the reliability of bulk .22 ammo. Also keep those mags clean. 22LR can dirty up some mags so cleaning your mags on occasion will go a long way towards contributing to the reliability of your firearm.
