I usually find myself hunting in dense woods and long range shots are the exception rather than the rule. I feel pretty confident with this rifle out to 250 metres +/ without too much fuss. Maybe this rifle is worth reloading for? I am curious to know how well that 123gr PPU bullet will hold together on a deer at close to medium range.

The rifle is super lightweight, easy to point and I'm not getting any younger. Speaking of which this would be a good first hunting rifle for a youth. The recoil is tame and the rifle can take a bit of punishment without feeling too bad about it.

For your consideration here are some shooting drills that I've put the rifle through and in most cases it was very poor quality ammunition. Both examples were shot at 100 metres.
