The US and Germany announced the movement of more strategic weapons into Europe at the NATO summit in Washington. The US said it will start “episodic deployments of the longrange fires capabilities of its MultiDomain Task Force in Germany in 2026”. The statement also said the new capabilities will “have significantly longer range than current landbased fires in Europe.” The statement said the exercise “will demonstrate the US’ commitment to NATO and its contributions to European integrated deterrence.” The longrange fires capabilities will include the SM6 and Tomahawk missiles and “developmental hypersonic weapons.” Watch the video to find out more.
